Hello, and welcome to Gatewood Engineering And Race Support, or more simply
GEARS.
GEARS has come about as a culmination of 30+ years in the motorcycle industry; involved with vintage to modern street and racing Harley-Davidsons, along with JRM (Jawa) speedway motorcycles. This including decades of motorcycle racing, tuning, building, sponsoring, promoting, and owning and operating a small dealership.
The decision was made to retire from the long hours involved with a retail dealership in order spend some more time with my family, and be able to concentrate on the true interests that have developed over the years. Those being machining, building, and restoring some of my own machines, of the types mentioned earlier.
Also, in the last few years I have been fortunate enough to become licensed as F.I.M. (Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme) Grade "B" Technical Steward, and been able to work in that capacity at the annual BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials; held every September on the Bonneville Salt Flats. I have developed an absolute passion for the job and event, and am planning to have a motorcycle ready for land speed competition in the near future.
If you are looking for parts or machining of any kind feel free to contact me, and I will do my best to help steer you in the right direction.
Please take the time to look through this website, and contact me if I can be of help.
Best Regards & God Bless,
Drew Gatewood
